Detailed 6 Days Northern Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Today your 6 Days of Northern Tanzania Safari begins! We’ll pick you up from your hotel in or around Arusha. During the 2.5-hour drive, you will enjoy the view of the beautiful nature, landscapes and local communities. We’ll do a full day game drive in Tarangire which is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. At the end of the day, we will go to Africa Safari Lake Manyara where you’ll spend the night in a furnished comfort safari tent with a private bathroom. First, you can take a dive into the swimming pool!

Day 2-4: Serengeti National Park

On day three after a few hours’ drive we will arrive at the Serengeti gate. After lunch we do a game drive all afternoon in this beautiful park. The Serengeti is known for its endless plains of savannah, forest landscapes and the migration involving about 1.5 million herbivores and followers. At the end of the 6 Days of Northern Tanzania Safari day we arrive at Africa Safari Ikoma. Located between Serengeti Seronera, Grumeti and Ikorongo Game Reserves the location is perfect for exploring the Serengeti.

The next day we will start the day with a game drive in the Ikona Wildlife Management Area. In the afternoon we will explore the area by foot with a ranger (walking safari) which will end with a sundowner. A unique experience! You spend another night at Africa Safari Ikoma.

The fourth day of 6 Days of Northern Tanzania Safari we spend one more day in Serengeti and late afternoon we head to Ndutu/South Serengeti where we overnight Africa Safari South Serengeti. The area is famous for the calving season of the Great Migration, an absolute highlight!

Day 5: Ngoro Ngoro Crater

Today we wake up early in the morning and after breakfast we will drive into the amazing Ngoro Ngoro crater. The Ngoro Ngoro crater is the largest intact crater in the world. The crater life estimated 30,000 large mammals. Due to its natural borders, there is an abundance of wildlife throughout the conservation area which is home to the Big Five including the African Black Rhino as well as hyena, zebra and elephants to name a few. In the afternoon we drive to Africa Safari Lake Manyara where we spend another night.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park

Today on the 6 Days of Northern Tanzania Safari we will go to Lake Manyara. This park is known for its breath taking panoramic views, waterfalls, babbling brooks with clear water and hot springs. We do a game drive in Lake Manyara all day and if you like to walk you can also book a 2-hour walking safari. On foot you can enjoy giraffes, buffalos and other animals from a good distance. In the afternoon we drive back to Arusha where we arrive before dinner.
